The Outlander comes standard with Active Stability and Traction Control (ASTC), Hill Start Assist and 7 Airbags. ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) helps prevent wheel lock and maintains steering control, while EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution) distributes braking force evenly to all the wheels, regardless of passenger number, luggage load or road conditions.
The BAS (Brake Assist System) is able to distinguish normal braking from a panicked stop, loading the brakes with hydraulic pressure in milliseconds, delivering more stopping power sooner.
