You’re in the Driver’s Seat, Anywhere

Think of any terrain and Pajero Sport will take you there. At the core of this high-performance machine is the pairing of a 2.4L DOHC MIVEC engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, providing the optimum balance of engine power, fuel economy and interior quietness. Factor in the Super Select II-4WD system, and you’ve got performance that makes driving through the most challenging conditions and rugged terrains a pure joy.

The Pajero Sport’s Super Select II-4WD system provides four driving modes: 2WD High Range, 4WD and 4WD High and Low Range with locked centre differential. An easy-to-operate four-wheel-drive selector dial allows switching between 2WD and 4WD on the move at speeds under 100km/h.

In addition, the selectable Off-Road Mode maximises traction on unsealed surfaces. The Gravel, Mud/Snow, Sand or Rock setting can be selected to suit surface conditions and optimises engine output, transmission settings and braking, for superior traction.

Hill Descent Control (HDC) can be initiated when you start travelling down a steep gradient more than 5% and can be set at any speed between 2-20km/h. Adjusting engine output and automatically applying the brakes to maintain the set speed, it allows you to concentrate on steering without having to manually apply the brakes.

Engineered for Quiet Power

The 2.4L DOHC MIVEC 16 valve common rail intercooled diesel engine is super responsive. Peak power is 133kW at 3500rpm, while torque is an equally impressive 430Nm at 2500rpm.

The engine’s aluminium cylinder block and lightweight materials reduce weight and with a compression ratio of 15.5:1, it is amongst the quietest and most efficient diesel engines on the market. Like a great athlete, it will exceed your expectations.

The 8-speed automatic transmission improves fuel efficiency while providing smooth acceleration and low RPM at high speeds.

Which is why the Pajero Sport is built with Mitsubishi Motors’ Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body construction and packed with innovative safety technology. This means the Pajero Sport gives you the peace of mind that you’re driving one of the safest cars on and off the road.

The Pajero Sport has everything from 7 airbags and ISOFIX child seat anchor points, ASTC (Active Stability and Traction Control), ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), BAS (Brake Assist System) and a whole lot more.

The Pajero Sport’s roomy cabin seats up to seven adults. The versatile space can be configured to maximise passenger or cargo space to suit your needs. And with a clear view of the road ahead and a host of intelligent technologies on board, you won’t want the journey to end.

The second-row seats can be generously reclined for a more relaxed ride or be folded forward. The third-row seats comfortably sit two extra people or can also be easily folded away to create a wide flat storage space.

In the new model automatic 4×4, we’ve further refined this design, raising the whole centre of gravity for safer and more confident driving, as well as upgrading the front grille, tyre rims, and headlamps. The headlamps have been upgraded and raised higher, so you’ve got more confidence on rough roads and improved visibility when cornering.

Plus, with an added Power Tailgate and Power Tilt and Sliding Sunroof to give you a view of the sky and stars, the new Pajero Sport gives you added convenience and takes comfort to a whole new level. And, thanks to its built-in roof rails, the Pajero Sport has improved aerodynamics – providing directional stability at higher speeds as well as better fuel consumption.
